Boo! Don’t be scared, the only scary thing at the Osceola County Animal Shelter is the thought of many wonderful animals waiting for forever homes and families. Every Shelter animal is a treat and all are sweeter than candy and won’t rot your teeth! So, in honor of Halloween, you can adopt kittens, “Trick” or “Treat” or perhaps dogs, “Zack O’Lantern” and “Elvira,” the featured pets this week. Ghoul… oops, you’ll also get a quick glimpse of several adoptable dogs and cats, kittens and puppies in this week’s video. Pay attention so you can be ready to find your soul mate. Why? Because the Shelter is sponsoring “Find your Soulmate,” a regional adoption event taking place this Saturday, Nov. 2nd from 9-5 and Sunday, Nov. 3rd from 12-5 featuring adoptable animals from around the region. Check out the video for more details.
Dog #A170748 – Meet “Zack O’Lantern.” He is a wonderful, male, 9-month old, black and tan colored, black mouth cur mix. "Zack" is easy-going and calm and would make a wonderful family pet for a home looking for a laid-back forever friend. "Zack" has been at the Shelter since September 21st and he needs to find a home very soon. If, on the other hand, you would like a soul mate that is a bit more active, then come in and play with “Elvira,” Dog#A172994 – “Elvira” is a bit more energetic than “Zack,” she is also a little younger, just 5 months old and full of spunk and pep! “Elvira,” will set your heart on fire with love. She is also available for adoption at the Shelter. Both dogs seem to get along well with each other and with other dogs.
Cats #172679 “Trick” and #179680 “Treat.” Just in time for Halloween, you could have “Trick” or “Treat” as a new member of your spooktacular family. These lovely little girls are 5-month old, Domestic Shorthair kittens. “Trick” is the orange and black Calico, and “Treat” is the black and gray tiger kitty. They don’t have to be adopted together, but they would make an adorable set to have in your home. Come in and see the Shelter’s version of “Trick” and “Treat” they are the perfect Halloween addition.
Come into the Shelter and save a life by adopting a fantastic pet. Please keep in mind, however, that the animals' stay at the Shelter is EXTREMELY limited, and they may or may not be available when you arrive. The Shelter is located at 3910 Old Canoe Creek Road in St. Cloud, or to find out what animals are available, check the adoptable pets on the Osceola County Animal Services website at osceola.org/go/pets.
