Chief Glenna Wallace of the Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma, lineal descendants of the Shawnees who lived in a region that included Ohio before being relocated to the west in the mid-19th century, talks about what Ohio means to her and to other members of her tribe.
Founded in 1885, the non-profit Ohio Historical Society provides a wide array of statewide services and programs related to collecting, preserving and interpreting Ohio’s history, archaeology, and natural history through its 50+ sites and museums across Ohio, including its flagship museum, the Ohio History Center in Columbus.
