Using the New York MTA turnstile data from the three weeks following 2012's Hurricane Sandy, we plotted the approximate time it took for each subway location to "emerge" from the floods. The higher the point in the sculpture, the earlier that subway stop re-opened after the storm.

The final sculpture consists of the 3D printed data set into a "sink basin", with running water over it.

This project was made in ITP's Sculpting Data Into Everyday Objects class.
