This past summer, Evergreen launched the Summer Undergraduate Research Project (known on campus as SURP). This program provided 13 faculty and student teams the resources to pursue research projects in all manner of disciplines. Faculty Abir Biswas and Dylan Fischer came together with their research students Mariah Smith and Levi Travis on a project that studies Biogeochemical Cycling and Ecosystem Ecology in the South Sound Prairies. In this piece, all four talk about the experience of working on a collaborative research project at Evergreen.
