Professionally accredited by the Institute of Food Science and Technology our BSc (Hons) in Food Science & Technology aims to provide you with a broad understanding of modern food industries. It combines theoretical studies and practical work, which may be applied in the modern industrial food environment. The modular structure of the course is designed to allow you to develop your own career path according to the selections chosen.
Students are able to undertake periods of industrial work experience and are encouraged by the university to gain first hand experience of the industry to maximise career prospects upon graduation. A twelve week placement during the summer break between years two and three, or a twelve month placement between years two and three are available.
