The Rose is Without Why, a short poem by 17th century German theologian and poet Angelus Silesius, gets a 21st century treatment in fluorescent light tubes from French artist Boris Achour. Seen in Toronto at the annual Nuit Blanche program of contemporary art, October 2013. The installation ran about 100 metres (330 feet) along the south wall bordering Nathan Phillips Square, the Toronto City Hall plaza. It was disassembled and crated on October 28, 2013.
