5X Time Lapse: Thirty miles of desert mountain pass six minutes. Starts at Panamint Springs, climbs about 5000 feet to Towne Pass, then descends to Stovepipe Wells, at sea level.

Along the way, I vainly show off my turbo as I pass an RV on the uphill (not as daring as it looks). There's a brief swerve at the summit, but not long enough to read the sign (elevation 4956 ft). Then the downhill is pretty fun, some nice curves and whoop-de-whoop bumps. You can get an idea of the hugeness of the whole thing by noticing how long the last straight descent into the valley is. Just an amazing place.
