As rhythm was easy | Lina V Persson
Exhibition from November 9th til December 11th 2013.
Private view Friday 8th November at 20.00
“As rhythm was easy” is a visual tale choreographed by the tick of a clock that announces a blank moment of suspension, a temps mort wherein everything is just about to take on a definitive form.

Unrecognizable bodies in uncanny poses, evanescent faces diluted in the light, imperceptible movements, nature’s perennial circles and the irrefutable force of time. They are all scrutinised and frozen by the camera. Persson describes the sensation that underlies her images as an “accident in rhythm”. It is all about the accident produced when standing before a crossroads; it is about that trembling indefinite point before the outcome of a significant situation. The result is a visual palimpsest sealed by an idiosyncratic elliptic form of storytelling that unfolds as a play on the wall, inviting a series of associations between form, feeling and matter.
