Remember You is a film that dwells on memories brought about by places and people, experiences
and emotions. I would say that the genre of the film is experimental. I chose this genre because I
believe it would allow me to stylistically convey a person’s recollection of his or her own memory or
one that he or she has shared with another. I’ve always been intrigued by the idea of making a film
that celebrates those special moments in a person’s life or the best memories of someone, not
necessarily “good” memories, but those that really make an impact and leave an imprint on
someone’s life. As I looked back on my own life, I have noticed that certain places play a very
important role in my own memories. Whenever I go back to certain places, I couldn’t help but
remember certain events and experience familiar emotions. Places often bring back memories, and
not only that, I believe places also seem to have memories of their own.
