{ WEST MAREDPALLY SOLVES WATER PROBLEMS – episode three of a four-part series! }
These students are great actors, so we could hardly get through another episode without a chance for them to shine. Who had been left out of the round-up so far? ANIMALS! They are in danger from water pollution as much as anybody. This skit is also an opportunity for the Hyderabadi kids to teach the Americans how local government works at the village level.

This video was produced in tandem with "Words Hold Water" – a collaborative social justice and art-making project that stretches between two continents. Students between the ages of 8 and 14 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, and Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India are given prompts and art-making tools to explore their ideas about water. Their drawings, audio recordings, photographs, videos, and writing are uploaded to a communal blog, where the youth view and comment on each others’ posts. This call-and-response between cultures will culminate in an art action, as students perform or present a conceptual artwork to bring attention to their discoveries.
