We were a group of a 16 medically and non-medically trained individuals from Winnipeg, Manitoba and Collingwood, ON who felt God's calling to set up and run a medical clinic at MCF Ndalani in August 2013. We left feeling extremely blessed.
In 1989, former street child Ev. Dr. Charles M. Mulli founded the Mully Children’s Family (MCF) with his wife Esther and ever since they’ve been rescuing vulnerable children, giving them a place to call home, with access to education, training, medical care, counselling and parental love.
Over the past 24 years MCF has rehabilitated over 8,000 children and currently cares for over 2,200. MCF is the largest home for orphaned children in Kenya, and the only one with a strong emphasis on the rehabilitation of girls. MCF also operates three community day centres which provide food and basic primary education to children who have been orphaned but remain in the care of a relative.
MCF was born out of Charles Mulli’s desire to rescue and rehabilitate orphaned and abandoned children in Kenya. Through his business savvy and dedication over the past twenty years, it has evolved into a model for holistic and sustainable development. Not only is MCF restoring hope for thousands of vulnerable children, they continue to find innovative ways to restore hope for their surrounding communities, their nation of Kenya, and the African continent as a whole.
