An immersive experience on a 7m diameter 360 degree screen. Made for the Dolphin Research Centre in Bunbury South Western Australia. Three scenarios unfold in a looping sequence, the birth of a baby dolphin, a shark attack which is fended off, and herding and feeding on a school of fish. The choreography of the action had to be clear continuous and at a fixed distance from the viewer (the 3.5 m radius of the cylindrical screen). There are no cut aways to a close up. The cg animation was rendered as a cube of four 90 degree 2K views for an equivalent of 8k resolution. These were then converted to a cylindrical projection in a single file and then split into 6 overlapping files for the six projectors.
