Held this Saturday in Williamsburg, the graphic arts festival was referred to as "a celebratory moment" by Desert Island Comics owner Gabe Fowler, and the atmosphere up and down Havermeyer Street was certainly festive. Enthusiasts of all ages and origins streamed back and forth to standing-room-only comics-centric panel discussions at The Knitting Factory and to the jam-packed gymnasium of St. Carmel Church, where the wares of more than one hundred artists and exhibitors were on display.
