The day had been a glorious example of what Autumn can bring and I was determined to be out in it for as long as feasible. In the afternoon I was conscious of only a few more hours of daylight and wanted to film something interesting. I nipped down to Coalhouse Fort, a local attraction from the Napoleonic and World Wars.
Everybody else had thought the same and there were screaming children everywhere. You have to avoid filming children at all costs so I could only shoot the building and trees. I wanted a light, Autumnal feel for this film but couldn't find any appropriate music so instead chose the creepy atmospherics you hear, utterly changing the character of this short.
