From 8 to 10 November 2013, Toastmasters District 72 held their November Convention in Palmerston North. Part of the November Convention is the national finals of the Table Topics Contest - a contest where the contestants are challenged to speak for a minimum of one minute and a maximum of two minutes on a topic they only receive seconds earlier. The nine best Table Topics speakers of New Zealand competed against each other to become the new champion of New Zealand. This is that new champion: John Twaddle. And this is his speech on the subject "Are we loosing the ability to communicate orally?".
