Alumna Angela Jackson returned to Northwestern to read from "Where I Must Go" and talk about the creation of her debut novel — 40 years in the making. The book, published by TriQuarterly Books in 2009, is about an African American student coming of age in post–Civil Rights Act America at an elite, predominantly white university that resembles Northwestern at the time.
