Muybridge Revisited - DuIK in action!
A quick tribute to the Godfather of Motion - Eadweard Muybridge (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eadweard_Muybridge)
Continuing my experiments with DuIK tools, I figured I would do a little motion test by bringing to life some of Muybridge's motion captures.
This animation was incredibly easy to generate. I simply found some of Muybridge's image sequences online and used them to pose the rigged skeleton (see my tutorial: vimeo.com/7872163). Simply pose the skeleton against the first frame, keyframe that position, move to the next frame, slide the reference image over to the next position, adjust the skeleton, and so on, until you've gotten the full motion cycle. Then it's just a matter of selecting all the key frames and stretching them out holding ALT to get the right timing. Because the character is rigged, the tweening between positions is anatomically correct. No fuss. No hassles. Just happiness.
Thank you DuIK Tools.
