Japanese sneaker culture purveyors, Mita Sneakers, join forces again with Tokyo fashion label, Whiz Limited, for another New Balance collab. This time, the model of choice is the newly introduced Revlite-infused update to the cult favourite MT580 model, marking the first collaboration of the revised street classic.

The kicks feature all-black leather uppers with contrast stitching and Whiz Limited’s signature stars laser-cut around the collar and at the forefoot, revealing reflective 3M underneath. The part of the design influences stem from Whiz Limited’s Autumn/Winter 2013 collection, as can be seen in the above video where brand founder, Hiroaki Shitano, shows some of the production work to Mita Sneakers’ Creative Director, Shigeyuki Kunii. Check it out for a small slice of what Whiz is about.
