How to make pie dough from scratch. Old-fashioned basic pie dough. No fancy gadgets needed. We've experimented with all the modern variations from using the food processor to even adding vodka instead of water to our dough in our quest for the perfect dough. We've come full circle to a low tech method that relies on the butter being icy cold and our method of patting and turning the dough to create a tender-tasty-flaky crust. Fast, easy, not a lot of equipment to cleanup.
