I'm convinced now that it doesn't matter which camera philip bloom uses to make a video, it is PHIL who makes these things soo damn good! Phil, how do you give your vids such a cool feel to them? I can't really explain what i mean, but it's like you never have a bad shot! Also, how are you give them that dark color tone? FCP? Magic Bullet?

I have a mini and an extreme. I do have bad shots! I just never use them. My grading is all done with magic bullet looks.

Philip, this video captures the essence of a day in the life of so many of us. A day that we will always cherish and long for once more. I am a true believer that it's not the gear as much as the person looking into the viewfinder and you are proof of that.

This is great work. I have an HV20 and ive been constantly trying to export with the best settings on HD. i seem to miss it every time. what type of compressor did you use and other settings have you tweaked to get such great resolution while compressing the footage. thanks!

So there is no way to use the letus mini with larger diameter cameras? I should have bought the extreme. If I had bought the extreme would I have been able to use this on my hv20? Not that satisfied with the Mini hv20 setup. I think a better camera with an adapter makes it more professional.

The Letus Extreme with the HV20 is fiddly.
The Letus Mini plust the HV20 is not at all.
It does suck that when I get a bigger camera I will have to get another adaptor, but for this camera the Mini is the best way to go. Not the Extreme. What's up Phil? !!!

I'm buying a setup like this. with a 35mm adapter the HV20 becomes a powerful little camera. Very nice test.

I saw this video before and i didn't know it was yours!, you are now a celebrity in the 35mm adapter world!, This video convince me on trying a "cheap way" to do a film-look, i went with a Sony HC7 and the Letus Mini, look my first try and comment, i will apreciate your wise opinion.

some footage like yours looks really amazing, some other test-footage does not. I'm not sure what makes that difference.

did you applied sharpening in post?
what settings do you use on the camera? (aparture, cine or tv mode, sharpness, contrast, ...)
and which lenses did you use or would you recomment?
which one would you recomment, the letus mini or extreme?

When you use The HV20 with an adapter do you auto expose with the adapter on then lock the exposure and never touch it again. How do you handle the exposure with an adapter attached, is what i'm asking?
