Authorities are not releasing the names but the Marine Corps confirms the explosive ordnance disposal technicians were killed at 11:00 AM yesterday morning during a routine maintenance operation. General John Bullard said in a statement "Our first priority is to provide the families with the support they need during this difficult time"

The Navy medial ship the USNS Mercy is preparing for possible deployment to the typhoon stricken islands in the Philippines this morning. The Mercy could deploy in the next few days and reach the people in need next month.

This morning at 10:00 San Diego's Interim Mayor Todd Gloria will release San Diego's 5-year financial outlook.

San Diego County is announcing a disaster planning guide for people with disabilities. They are meeting at the Seacrest Village residential care home for people with disabilities in Encinitas at 12:30 this afternoon.

In San Diego's downtown courthouse at 2:00 this afternoon Marcos Rodriguez-Perez will hear his fate for the murder of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Robert Rosas Jr.

And finally at 6:30 tonight it’s the Grand opening for the Barrio Logan College Institute's new facility at the Monarch School.
