This project attempted to abstract a portrait and challenge the boundary condition of face-recognition. There were a series of experiments that were focused on disassembling the portrait and designing a new way of drawing to bring it back again, more abstract and more sensible.
We decided to stay in the monochrome in order to maintain the attention to figure. Some of the techniques used to base the experimentation were series of dots, lines, halftones. By means of airbrushing and robotics, things such such as distance, paint thickness, zones and patches were uncontrolled inpiuts that had a different impact everytime the same project would execute.
