This short drama depicts R, who is staying at a sanitarium and writing obsessively to Cheryl, his girlfriend. Or perhaps she's not his girlfriend... A film about perceptions of the 'real', the unreliability of memory, and keeping it together under stressful circumstances.
Shot in black & white S16mm, the film was released in 2005 and premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. It subsequently won Best Directing and Best Cinematography awards at the Regina Festival of Cinematic Arts, and an Honorable Mention for Best Screenplay at the International Festival of Cinema and Technology.
The film stars Andy Maize and Jennifer Hazel, and features John Borra and Tanya Mars.
