The (HEROS) Programme brings children from Northern Ireland and children from across the border together to train and work as a team through a mutual non-sectarian sport (ice hockey).

Co-operation Ireland works with different community groups from Finglas (Dublin) and Short Strand (Belfast) and with the Belfast Giants, to teach young Protestant and Catholic children the values of working together. The founder and President of the project is a Canadian Ice hockey coach called Norm Flynn.

This is the Project's second successful year. Northern Visions followed the children on their week long journey of ice hockey, bonding and group master classes, which taught and showed everyone that they're not as different from each other as they might think.
