In 2007 Gallup and Healthways agreed to a 25 year relationship where 1,000 surveys on well-being would be conducted per night. These surveys, conducted since January 2008, are representative of the US population and have provided invaluable insights into the well-being of the American people, barriers to achieving maximum well-being, and how health promotion programs must change to be effective. This presentation will provide an update on the well-being of Americans, information on new learnings, and examples of how health promotion needs to be transformed to have greater impact.
