This young woman is a new seed blossoming in a dying town. Her enthusiasm enlightens a bleak arena of decay. But she does not stand alone in this endeavour. Many an arts project; music, dance, sculpture and painting have ignited a change in this location for the better.

The choice of location, audio treatment and video footage capture the rebirth of change and promise occurring in Gosford in an abstract contemporary way.

Inspired by the stories of the region, artists Duke Albada and Michelle Blakeney present 7 artworks exploring the identity and spirit of the Central Coast. The project started with the two artists and a caravan travelling to 7 locations; requesting members of the public to step aboard and candidly share their story. Each location was revisited for two days and one night collecting audio and video material that were later translated in contemporary artworks.

This program is funded by Arts NSW in a partnership with Regional Development Australia Central Coast, Gosford City Council and Wyong Shire Council to increase professional arts activity on the Central Coast.
