I looked out the window late this afternoon to see the rain turned to snow---so I grabbed the 7D and fired away.

Shot with the stock lens, graded in FCP. "Super Flat" Picture Styles preset used.

Great video man, liked it a lot. Must ask, you edited it in FCP? The Canon's 7D native codec is h.264, right? Have you had any problems with the editting process?

Yes, h.264 can't be edited well. The files must be converted to Apple ProRes 422 for the edit.

Yes, the file size of the clips are huge! But that's what makes 'em good.

Exactly! I had my Samsung HD camcorder and videos coming out of that little camcorder were perfectly sharp and crisp with beautiful colors. I thought that's the best of the best you can get. Data rate was around 13.00 mbits/s. Now, my 7D gives me beautiful videos up to 50.00 mbits/s. What a difference. Even if I bring the data rate down (to make file size smaller) to 13.00 mbits/s (like it was on my Samsung), videos still look a lot better than what I used to get with Samsung. Not to mention this beautiful DOF you can get with different lenses attached to your 7D.

So far, there is really nothing that bugs me about 7D. I love it so much, every day more and more :)
