Thanks for the test. How about adding Kessler and Pocket Dolly as tags so others can find it when searching?

very nice job mate, and u even didn't use L lens or full frame sensor (5d mark II or 1ds mark IV).
    Well done.
  • Richard Numeroff plus 2 years ago
thanks D... the 7D shoots with a sensor the equivalent of a 35mm Academy motion picture frame so it's not too hard to get 'the look".

Seems like the 701HDV head and legs were able to support the weight of Pocket Dolly and 7D. If I remember correctly, max load is around 9lbs.
  • Richard Numeroff plus 2 years ago
supports reasonable use... depends on how and where on the slider it is mounted and what you try to do with it. The upside of being lightweight is low cost and portability - the downside is it requires a more delicate touch and you must accept some limitations. When I mount the slider to Sachtler 20 head and legs and have the 701HDV on the slider it's much better but wouldn't want to walk around with it on my shoulder all day!

Beautiful!! Question about the pocket dolly. Do you ever feel like it's not long enough?
  • Richard Numeroff plus 1 year ago
Thanks Jeff... a pocket dolly is only for short moves... but as you can see many times that's all you need! for short moves it's way better than setting up a dolly... Works great to reveal or just set a mood... For lightweight and fast set-up on longer moves I have a Hollywood Microdolly...

This is shockingly good, I pretty much ruled out the 7d from my choice of which HDSLR to buy until i saw this.

Brilliant grading, Brilliant shot composition, fantastic choice of music.

Can't think of anything but praise.
