The Double Tree Hilton in Dublin was awash with colour at the first ever Peter Mark Colour Trophy. The largest event in Irish Hairdressing this year, the competition saw 32 finalists compete in front of hundreds of family and friends who travelled from all over Ireland to cheer their the entrants on.
The team from Peter Mark Whitewater, Newbridge were crowned the overall winners, much to the delight of their salon team and the assembled guests. Runners up on the night were from Peter Mark Rathmines, Dundrum Town Centre and the Cresent, Limerick.
The judging panel included hairdressing legend Ian Brady, International salon stylist, Guy Kremer, make-up artist to the stars Derrick Carberry, current L’Oreal Colour Trophy holder and Peter Mark educator Nadine Quinn and Maeve O’Healy Harte, editor of Irish Hairdresser Magazine. The event was hosted by the king of style himself, Brendan Courtney.
Speaking at the awards, which also featured an incredible fashion show produced by the Peter Mark artistic team, CEO Peter O’Rourke said, “There is so much talent on display here tonight. We are the masters of colour, not only as L’Oreal Colour Trophy winners and holders of the Young Colourist of the Year award, but it is clear from the brilliant work we have seen tonight that we have incredible colour specialists throughout the group. Our congratulations go to all of the entrants - we are so proud of you all”.
