In this commercial for RVCA Advocate BJ Penn, he takes you into his training camp and explains his relationship with RVCA.
Nicknamed “The Prodigy”, BJ Penn was introduced to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Hilo, Hawaii at the tender age of 17 by neighbor Tom Callos. It was through Tom that BJ met Ralph Gracie in 1997 and decided to relocate to Mountain View, CA to further his jiu-jitsu training.
From that time on, BJ Penn launched his storied career through the ranks of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is today a UFC World Champion.

mfsb 1 year agoive boxed and done both jiu-jitsu and aikido; and the biggest thing i learned is i do NOT have the killer instinct telling me to go forward when i hurt someone or someone hurts me. it is a constant inspiration to watch you train compete and live by example. thank you bj penn. for being a great champion; for being a great coach; for being a great ambassador for your sport, state, and country. i hope to meet you someday and thank you properly -in person. much luck to you and your family -godspeed. -
