It's rare for a new community to build its landscape and outdoor spaces before any of its residences go up, but that's exactly how Wesbrook Village at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, got its start. From the parks to green streets and environmentally-sustainable water features, the public realm at Wesbrook Village forms an integral part of the neighbourhood that also helps foster community engagement.
