Thanks Jeff! I enjoyed that. Made me think more about perspectives and processing time... could there be beings among us we do not see because of their frame rate???? (or ours!)

  • liz roncka 2 years ago
Bravo!! I especially enjoyed the contrast of the speed of Eric's movement with those passing by. Also something interesting....I think u said u had 2 move really slowly and this makes your movement more lateral. Then when u speed it up, it gives u this skewed windblown look which is intriguing. Slick slick editing 2...an artform in itself. Thanks 4 sharing ur gloobilicious work!

did you wear an ear piece to stay on message, or just practice stuff a lot?
  • Kendle Kelley 2 years ago
He used an earpiece. You can see it at 3:20 while he's crossing the street.

cool :) very cool. how did eric walk across the street without getting hit by a car? wouldn't he have had to walk really really slowly? is any of it green screened? great job!
  •
  • Jeff Lieberman plus 2 years ago
Thanks everyone! Yes we both had music synced on our ipods so that dance moves and camera movements could all move with the music.. no green screening effect, no effects at all in fact. We'll post a behind-the-scenes video sometime...

Filmed in Boston Commons, commonwealth ave, and copley sq [at the church and the public library].

nicely done, guys. dig the music, and the dancing and editing are both very very well done. I can't wait for Etude No. 2! I know you can do crazy things with your body, Gunther - I wonder how slow you could go? it'd be awesome to see someone doing what looks like a realtime dance in the middle of people sped up 5x or 10x even.

great work... very very very cool.

bravo! this is something I've had in my head to try.
as mentioned, would love to see slower movements and the visual that would make with the public moving at real time. Love the photog guy that stops to shoot the dancer!
    hA! : )

I also had my talent move in slow motion for a music video I directed, but I was shooting thousands of stills instead of shooting video...
