The Dewarists in its third season embarked on a new journey. Unlike its previous seasons where two sets of musicians were paired to collaborate on a song, this season paired musicians with visual artists. We knew that the opening packaging would have to directly convey that idea, but in an artistic manner. That's roughly around the same time we had been doing some experiments with Realflow. The dots were just waiting to get connected.

So here's (as motion graphics blog Digital Canvas puts it) "a cracked Dali-inspired, desert, where a musician and an artist yearn to connect with each other through the magical liquid of Dewars".

This version of the packaging is very different from the one that's currently being aired, mostly because the brand liked the 'limbo-like space' in the WIP version we had showed them. Lesson learnt.

Software used: AfterEffects for keying, compositing, VideoCopilot's Optical flares. Realflow for the liquid simulation, C4D for rendering the liquid material.
