This is an extract from a 43 minute commissioned film that I made to visually accompany a soundscape of various works by the electronic composer Delia Derbyshire for television and radio. The sound piece was compiled by David Butler of the University of Manchester, and includes several recordings of previously unheard work which are protected by Delia's estate and the archive at the University. I split the soundscape into 21 sections and produced a different short film to accompany each, whilst linking them together within the same conceptual framework. The film was made largely using found footage.

This particular section was made using Ralph Steiner's 'Surf and Seaweed' from 1929, combined with my own footage including moving image of paint that I have animated.

For copyright reasons the accompanying sound cannot be uploaded.
