Camera 03 - facing North West looking over the future cabins and recreation area.
This is a year long project to capture the construction of the Flying Horse Farms camp in Mt. Gilead, Ohio.
Images from Tuesday October 27, 2009 - Monday November 30, 2009.
This video includes 'slack time' (days of no work - weekends and holidays) which will be edited out of future videos. As more images are obtained they will be added here, but the overall length of this video will not exceed 6 minutes. Once completed, 1 year of construction will be documented and squeezed into that 6 minute time frame.
Flying Horse Farms will be a magical, transforming and fun camp for children with serious illnesses opening in fall 2010.
When kids come to Flying Horse Farms, they are no longer a kid with cancer. They are not constrained by their asthma or sickle cell disease. The toll on the body from heart disease, arthritis or hemophilia is forgotten.
When kids are here, they're different. They aren't patients. They are kids.
Find out more about who we are and our camp, how we're sending kids to camp already through our Flying Horse Away program. Discover the disease groups we serve and read stories of how camp changes lives - of children and their families.
Flying Horse Farms is a provisional member of the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps. As the world's largest family of camps for children with serious medical conditions, the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps offer campers the chance to restore hope and recapture their childhood through therapeutic recreation, intentional programming and year-round support that provides encouragement, motivation and confidence.
