Jeff Grabill answers the question, "What does responsivity mean to me?"
One of the things that has always been impressive about my father is how carefully and thoughtfully he listens to other people. And I've tried to learn from him how to be that kind of a careful and thoughtful listener in my own life. And I've tried to carry that principle over into how I think about research, and certainly how we conduct ourselves as researchers. So it's important to be responsive as researchers, to be careful and thoughtful listeners in terms of how we design and conduct research projects, so that we can be useful to others as we walk alongside them as they do the work that's important in their lives.
