This project was sponsored by the Friends of Cheyenne Canyon in Colorado Springs, and was the design of Cathy Railton. It was really a fun project because of its whimsical and different design. They wanted to try and replicate the type of trees found in the canyon so we used Ponderosa Pine, Scrub Oak and Water Birch primarily. The video shows the creation of the project from finding the right tree, to building the staircase and base out of Scrub Oak boards, to loading the tree and base onto the tractor and getting it up Cheyenne Canyon. As you will see it took a few people to get the tree into the Club House! The paintings on the risers were done by Ruth Lowen.
