not an argument against educational research
(although fundamental questions about what proper research for education is)
but an argument against the rhetoric and politics of evidence
the call for evidence based education is/runs the risk of being
a distortion of education
as it comes with a quasi-causal, one-dimensional logic of production
and a conception of knowledge as episteme
which erodes professional knowledge and democratic accountability
