"Filmmaker Benjamin M Piety directed this visually powerful exploration of one man's psyche. A runner meets with a psychologist who shows him a series of ink blots; he is asked to describe what he sees in each image, but the test causes him to examine his past as he ponders boyhood confusion about his sexuality and a strange but beautiful girl he loved as a teenager. Filled with curious but compelling images, 'The Lonely Lights. The Color of Lemons.' was screened at the 2007 South By Southwest Film Festival, where it received a jury award as best experimental short subject." ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide
