Members of Salford LIDS have been interviewing local people for years, asking for their memories of life in the city, years ago. Many of those stories have found their way on to CD collections; been broadcast on Salford City Radio; and now, just to be progressive in November 2009, been seen on stage.
Thanks to a grant from Arts Council, England, LIDS have been able to commission local author Ross McCormack to turn several collected stories into playlets. These were first seen at the 'Retracing Salford' exhibition on Chapel Street in September, but here is the extended version, live on a Saturday night at Salford Arts Theatre, on Liverpool Street. Thanks to them, and especially Ronni and Scott for their skills in drama coaching.
