I took part in this huge event today. I knew it'd look cool in true slow motion, and I think I was right. Enjoy!

    who cleans the mess?
  • justin 4 months ago
They also organize a clean up afterwards, usually it's the folks who make the mess who stick around to gather the feathers.

You had awesome sunlight to catch the midair feathers. I wasn't so lucky.

Check out how the west coast did it:

Just think 5 years ago how hard it would have been to organize, capture, and share an event like this.

    Great Stuff
  • Alex Itin 4 months ago
sure, but think if five years ago we'd organized to stop a war
    not start a pillow fight.

A great vid, but it got me thinking about the state of The State

  • justin 4 months ago
Haha --- nope! I went into the mix and hit some heads, but never threw anything.

Hahah. Awesome. I was there too filming with the same camera. It was such a good subject to film. Nice work. I haven't looked at all my footage yet.

That's pretty awesome. I couldn't make it to the Chicago one but I doubt it was anywhere near as cool anyway

If there is a conflict between two nations....that's what they should do....put the leaders of both countries in a room and two pillows and let them fight it out in a pillow fight....no one gets hurt...but there will be a winner....lol

when i shot, cut, and posted a vid of the sf pillowfight i started looking around to see what other people did, but in general it was like a boring 30 seconds of the crowd that was shot from a safe distance. . . for whatever reason i always prefer closeup shots like you have here. . . nice vid!. . .

DUDE!!!! I was in the subway that night coming home from work and had to transfer at Union square and the subway was FILLED with feathers. I couldn't fathom how in the world it happened. I could only assume that a giant chicken got hit by a train. But now I know what ACTUALLY happened. Thanks for posting this ;) Looked like a lot of fun!

Imagine if they used raw chicken parts instead? I didn't see any blood or guts and what's the fun in that? Good job Jason and tell George to "get a life and have some fun!"

    Looks great!
it seems as though that camera could produce waaaay better footage than what has come out as the final product on vimeo. if it has a feature of shooting at 240 fps.
    its a pro camera right?
