The following breakout session at the 2013 CUNY Information Technology Conference features a lively discussion on the use of social media in the classroom. The video captures a diverse group of digital media educators discussing the nature of social media and the role that it can play as an academic tool. The presentation format combines short topical introductions and demonstrations, followed by a roundtable discussion, in which the educators examine which social media practices they had employed over the years succeeded and failed.
