To the Samuel Murphy who said "Wow, talen does not come from record companies" I say,yes it does. That bum didn't write the song, Radiohead did. He can play the guitar but is voice is shot to shit from years of substance abuse and sucking Dic* for coke.

All of you yuppies that are moved by this, suck it.

    Ha!

You say talent comes from record companies, I say no it doesn't. Record companies didn't write that song, Radiohead did. And Radiohead didn't tell this man's entire life story in that one performance, that groggly sounding homeless guy on the street did.

Plastic pieces of shit that you pay 15 bucks for comes from record companies.
  • Lee Swagerty 2 years ago
@kurt rat: Do you think Radiohead made their music because they were influenced by record companies? I'm sure if they could, they would get away from the record companies. I bet their music would have been just as good or even better (because of record company censorship and creative control) if they never were signed to a record company...

It's just unfortunate that to make it as a musician you need a record label. Hopefully with the internet and the new outlets of media, this will change. (i.e. all the bands "making it" from the internet, and Nine Inch Nails releasing their new stuff for free via internet)

Kurt "rat": It takes a lot 'courage" to criticize someone you don't know but I give credit where it is due.

That person who is homeless can show everyone never underestimate people who are less fortunate than you.. they may or do have MORE talent in an area than you but they haven't had the chance in life that rewards them for it.

Rex: Thank you for sharing the video!

@kurt rat You are by far the most ignorant person I have encountered today.

    Congratulations, you deserve it!

I'll be sure to let you know if anything changes!

American homeless guys are clearly different than Australian homeless guys.

I mean.. did you hear that guy sing..?

..he know's exactly where it's at! i bet he sings along to creep on his ipod/iphone every day, and that's why he's so good :P

Sometimes a true spirit creates a good song, and sometimes it's vice versa.

    @kurt rat
I don't think Radiohead was giving a f**k about what their future record label would thought when they were creating the song.

If you think it's all so simple, you should try sleeping on a street for a while, and then leave us a comment.

@kurt: i give you credit for speakin your mind, but how narrow is it?? you cant just judge off what is there, he has what most music now lacks... heart! and if you wanna talk about a raspy voice, listen to louis armstrong. that is a man that deserves a contract or at least some decent venues... record companies dont make talent, they make models with instruments.

Of course he is clean, didn't you read the article? The radio station cleaned him up and gave him clothes as part of their promotion. Then he said he was a musician and they gave him a guitar.

FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC post mate! I really enjoyed it! Thanks for sharing!

My favourite version of this song (to this day) was Korn's MTV Unplugged cover ( youtube.com/watch?v=CREPw8Fl0qg ) , THIS ONE could be even better.
It's in any case wonderful and exceeds the original by far!
And for the troll: please just ignore people like him.

fantastic. I don't even like Radiohead.

Don't agree with Kurt, Radiohead is probably the band that goes the most out of their way to challenge record companies. Nice cover, sounds like this dude didn't actively put himself in his situation like many others(with alcoholism, abuse etc).
