"What is the state of 'remix' in 2013?"

The Long Table is an experimental public forum originally developed by performance artist
Lois Weaver. At the Long Table, participants will experiment with participation and public
engagement by appropriating a dinner table atmosphere as a public forum, on serious topics.
Everyone is welcome at the table to ask questions, make statements, or simply sit, listen and
watch. This iteration of Lois Weaver’s open source format asks “What is the state of Remix
in 2013?” Tom Tenney, founder of The RE/Mixed Media Festival, co-hosts the discussion.
Long Table participants include remix scholar Eduardo Navas, musician Adriano Clemente,
dancer Jennifer Weber, artist Robert Spahr, and performing artist David Commander and a few
surprises.
