A good friend of mine Vadim Akimenko of the future Akimenko Meats is a butcher who has a very intense passion for what he does. At the end of this process, of a 211 pound pig only 1 pound of meat was thrown away. It went on to feed quite a lot of people.

    What and odd feeling to watch. It's sad to see a once living creature butchered, though I understand why. Then when you see the skill, passion and respect given to the job, along with the music, it's hard not to be taken by it.

    Just rack focus. The 2.8 lens give an insane depth of field for sure. I end up over using it a lot because it looks so nice hah.

    Hi! I came across this video on Tumblr. Although I'm not a professional butcher or anybody else in my family but since I was a kid we used to have so called pigstickings in my village on the countryside. Unfortunately I have no video about it 'cause my father doesn't want me to film it but I have managed to take several photos in the past few years. We make so many things different than the butcher in this vid but I'm sure everybody has his own "style". Enjoy:
