There was once a wide, windswept place, near nowhere and close to forgotten,
that was filled with all the things that no one wanted…
A celebration of Glasgow’s industrial heritage and creative future, culminating in the transformation and takeover of the iconic South Rotunda building on the Clydeside, The Tin Forest is one of the National Theatre of Scotland’s most ambitious projects to date. As the city prepares to welcome the world in 2014, The Tin Forest invites the people of Glasgow and the Commonwealth to engage with their past, reimagine their future and present their stories to world through theatre, music, and visual art.
The Tin Forest is part of the Glasgow 2014 Cultural Programme, produced by the National Theatre of Scotland, in association with Scottish Youth Theatre, and supported by Glasgow Life, Creative Scotland, Homecoming 2014 and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
