Working as a video journalist in Tyne and Wear has put me at the heart of local - and often national - news stories over the past two years.
There have been superstorms in Newcastle, and by-elections in South Shields; monthly far-right rallies over a planned mosque in Sunderland, and anti-austerity protests across the region.
Libraries have been closed, arts funding has been slashed, and Newcastle's City Pool has been shut down. Celebrations have marked a visit by the Duchess of Cambridge, and in some places, the death of Margaret Thatcher.
This video showcases a small selection of the local news stories I have filmed, edited and reported on over the past two years. The footage is shot both on an iPhone and on a Sony HDR video camera.
There is also an example of user-generated footage - a pram being carried out of a restaurant as flood water gushes in - that I sourced for the original piece on Newcastle's superstorms.
I have included this to highlight how viewers in Tyne and Wear have been an integral part of telling some of these stories.
