Happy Baby Pose (Ananda Balasana)
Happy Baby provides gracious relief for the inner thighs and hips, especially after a long day of sitting.
Begin seated upright with your spine straight and feet flat on the earth. Inhale then exhale your torso to the ground. Inhale your knees to your chest and grab the outsides of your feet. Exhale while opening your knees wider than your hips. Pull down on your feet guiding your knees towards your armpits. Keep your knees in line with your ankles and flex through your heels. Try rocking your your entire body slightly from side to side, releasing tension in the hips.
The most fundamental part of any yoga pose/sequence is your breath.
Try inhaling for 3 seconds and exhaling for 5,
always making the exhales longer than your inhales.
Breathing is the most IMPORTANT part of yoga, the poses(asanas)/sequences are just a bonus.
