May I ask what DOF plug you are using? It seems to be handling shallow dof very well.
Thanks for sharing. T&S is beautiful.
Was it Frischluft?
here is the interview:

Either way it's amazing but it would be nice to know which plug handles it that well.
This work is insane.
This is the quality-level that I want to reside on!
GO. SEE. THE FULL. MOVIE. NOW.

I'm still picking up the pieces of my brain off the floor. I can't believe those trees aren't real. Cheers! This video is AWESOME!!
I'm trying to visualize how long this took....as one person I believe you have broke new ground. If you want a job I could get you one. My advice is to make more beautiful films like this!
True artist's eye.
Your light passes really make it beautiful.
Thank you!
so now it is time to think about some other things than making cgi-movies ... maybe I could be a nice potato-farmer ....
5.5.5!
The Michelangelo of 3D VFX.
Thank you very much for the breakdown
and making of.
Not ridiculous, but ridonculous.... another level of high quality...
Respect.
wow !
AMAAAAZING. So amazing.
BRAVO.
" you will be very successful "
your work is badass.
Inspiring work...
breathless
I was going do this but I only have Friday off.
I've never heard of your name but I am pretty sure you will be spontaneously recognized all around the world since all my friends in South Korea know your name Alex now. =)
Respect all of your hard work. Salute!
Question here. Was the depth of field rendered in VRay, or as a post in After Effects? From the video looks like it was a separate compositing layer. Any plugins used for achieving DoF? Thanks.
maybe the best lighting and compositing work i've seen.
I'm only sad there was no sci-fi scenes, hehe...
speechless....
You gotta be kidding....
wow..
while I was watching this film, I thought I was sure it's not cgi..... no way..
Only in that you have had to justify your work to the morons who posted comments in your 5th post the actual film - by creating the old - film - pre post - render - wireframe version to show thateverytrhing is actually real CGI!!!
And by the way this guy is off the scale re - 3d - with his modelling - texturing - animation - compositing and other skills - most of pixar should be shitting themselves right now - he could put entire teams out of work :)
and for the guy who posted in film 5 - about the wind turbine spinning the wrong way - get your head out your arse and lets see your work - dickhead!!!!
Apologies for the language but sometimes its what you need to get your point across :)
What I'd like to know is if you designed the architecture for the buildings and spaces from scratch as well; they were so beautifully done.
ok, so maybe he didn't do the sky and human, and used a plate. whoopee.
