This is the Quarry Men in 1960. It is known for sure that John, Paul and George were there, it is also highly likely the single-note-at-a-time staccato bass means Stu was there - though some at least do not believe this. It is not known if any of the original tea-chest and Lonnie Donegan mob were still around; it doesn't sound it but you never know. However, digressing, considering that the three main players were spotty oiks, and had cheap instruments at that stage and a battered old Grundig, they nevertheless knocked out a brilliant self-penned tune. it's moody, it's sort of Latin, and it should have been included on any of the albums where the lads were allowed to be freer, such as the White Album.
